Aminah Alwohaib - nicknamed Mina - is a Landscape and Abstract artist that paints exclusively with her hands.
Mina is a self-taught artist from Kuwait, who always had a passion for creating. She graduated from the University of Franche-Comté (France) with a bachelor degree in Language Science.
Whilst in France she presented her paintings in Forum Library, cafes and had the honour of exhibiting in the Institute Regional du Travail Social (L'IRTS) in Franche Comté - where she hosted her first vernissage.
Painting is more than just a job for Mina, it's her passion and motivation in life.
Mina was initially drawn to abstract painting. She enjoyed the creativity afforded by the lack of rules, allowing her to create a unique style. During Covid lockdowns she was drawn to landscape painting and was inspired by the beauty of nature. Finding solace in the natural world, she escaped the chaos and negativity of Corona.
Her work is constantly evolving. Yet, whilst her subject and style might change her signature marriage of playfulness and serenity is always found in her paintings.
Her undying passion for art and her love for discovery will continue to fuel her creativity. She hopes to keep sharing her creations with the world and show that through the universal language of art, we can be inspired, provoked and are interconnected.
